I’m Sarah Mak, a writer from Singapore.
I just released an interactive fiction game that is now competing in the Interactive Fiction Competition, and I’m working on the skills I need to develop story-driven video games in the future.
I also wrote poetry. My poetry has been published in several journals and anthologies, such as Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, Eunoia Review, and Silver Birch Press. I’m a member of zer0sleep, a writing collective supported by literary charity Sing Lit Station.
Other than that, I graduated with a Communication Studies degree from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), with a specialisation in Broadcast and Cinema Studies. I also have minors in Creative Writing and Film.
What I’m Doing Now
Currently, this is what I spend my time doing:
- Working on the final project for CS50x, Harvard’s introduction to computer science course
- Learning how to do strength training properly
- Improving this website, bit by bit
